I have been roleplaying on and off for a little over sixteen years. This includes things like text-based writing such as Forums and Private Messages, writing over MMOs such as Final Fantasy 14 & Guild Wars 2 an even enjoying Table Top Roleplaying games such as Pathfinder, D&D & Lancer. I have and still do DM a few games, though I have played in a lot more. A life torn away from young hands in the blink of an eye.In truth, that was all Zywie recalled about her life before she awoken in a medical bay on a ship. Unfamiliar faces caring for her like a mother and father might do. Gleaners, at least that was what she learned they were called. It was by their hands she was brought to this new land called Old Sharlayan. And by their hands she would grow into the young woman she was today -- Nisha was her name, a Rean woman from a place called Thavnair, and her husband Lucas, a Viera from a world far to the West. However, to Zywie they quickly became mom and dad. A couple that had been unable to have children of their own hand had saved her from the flames that haunted her memories.

It was also adopted parents that took her to The Studium when she first started to have her “Dreams.” Dreams that many thought were simply linked to magics slowly growing inside the young girl, and with hopes of her becoming a great Astrologain her studies begin.And her dreams grew. A gift that quickly proved to be unrelated to her skills in Astrology. Sure she could read the stars and her dreams often told of her things to come… but still, something was different. There was always a natural fear of being able to enter the dreams of others… something that quickly proved to be very dangerous, more so for a young girl just starting her journey with magic. But she was quick to learn how to ward her dreams to keep herself from being drawn, unwilling, into the dreams of others. But the greatest gift she learned from her dreams was the ability to walk a plane between dreams.Needless to say, Zywie became a point of interest in the Studium. Something that was quick to become smothering and…. Well, Zywie would have preferred to hide away in the libraries, reading stories about heroes and adventures. Or maybe learning to dance with her mother, someone who also taught the woman about alternative healing methods that were common in the Rean's homeland. Or escaping into the wildlands with her father, who taught her how to fight with spear and fist -- skills for when magics would come to fail her. It was these things that would quickly shape the girl’s life well into adulthood just as much or maybe more than her time in the Studium, where she learned to become an Astrologian of great skill.Where her first adventure awaited…And questions about where she came from started to become enticing.
